About the Artist

After working 18 years in film/video production I took a two year sabbatical and traveled to Maine, Wyoming and northern California. I began painting small canvas pieces while living in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I spent many afternoons in Monterey, Pacific Grove and near the Pidgeon Point Lighthouse. I returned to Austin in 2004 and continued painting and began using found objects and other materials in some of my work. Much of this process is new to me. I have found that for now I am compelled to do the work.
